This is where Zeus Renovations excels. With over 13 years of experience in the trades, we have an in-depth understanding of these systems and how they work together to create a fully functional bathroom space.

From simple bathroom renovations to more complex bathroom remodelling projects, we are trusted across Cardiff to deliver exceptional craftsmanship in the most timely and cost-efficient manner possible.
Every bathroom project is different, but most full bathroom renovations involve more than replacing a few visible fixtures. A proper bathroom remodel looks at the room as a complete system, including plumbing, electrics, ventilation, waterproofing, flooring, storage and finishing.Below are the main types of bathroom work we can include as part of your renovation or remodelling project.
We manage full bathroom renovations from consultation to final sign-off. This can include activities such as bathroom demolition, layout changes, new plumbing and electrical systems, tiling, flooring, fixture installation, painting, sealing, and final finishing.
We can install new showers, walk-in showers and wet room systems. If you want to remove an old bath and create a more practical shower space, we can also convert it to a bath-to-shower or walk-in shower.
We install and replace key bathroom fixtures, including baths, toilets, basins, taps, shower controls, mirrors, hardware, and accessories. We can also fit soaking tubs, replacement bathtubs and modern bathroom suites where the existing fittings are worn or outdated.
Bathroom remodelling often involves complex plumbing work. We can coordinate plumbing alterations, pipe relocations, drainage installations, waste routes, and water connections for showers, baths, toilets, basins, and vanity units.
We can arrange bathroom lighting installation, mirror installation, heated mirror wiring, extractor fan installation and other bathroom electrical work through qualified trades.
A bathroom floor needs to be stable, moisture-resistant, and suitable for the room’s intended use. We can install bathroom flooring, waterproofing systems and suitable floor preparation before the final finish goes down.
Good storage makes a bathroom easier to use, especially in smaller Cardiff bathrooms where space is limited. We can install vanity units, bathroom cabinets, mirrors, shelving and storage features as part of the renovation.
We can fit bathroom wall panels, tiles, splashbacks, grout, silicone, trims and other finishing details. We also handle bathroom painting, caulking and sealing where needed.
We regularly work on everything from compact en-suites to larger luxury master bathrooms. Whether you want to make better use of a small space or are planning a more premium finish, we can tailor the work to suit how you want the room to feel and function.
Before we quote for your project, we take the time to understand your current pain points and the vision for your future upgraded bathroom. We will come out to your property and assess what is required and talk through your goals and ambitions for your new space.
At the visit, we will assess a variety of factors that influence the quote price. Just some of these factors include:
✅ Bathroom layout
✅ Bathroom size
✅ Desired style
✅ Waste Routes
✅ Signs of Damp / Mould
✅ Floor and wall conditions
✅ Electrical zones
✅ Flooring and finishing
Property Access
By assessing all of these factors, we will be able to provide an estimate and identify any issues that may pose risks and increase the quoted price. Although we won’t be able to fully diagnose every issue without completely ripping up the current bathroom, this visit will give you a reasonable estimate of costs and timescales.
Once we have visited your property and discussed your project requirements with you, we will provide an itemised quote within 2-3 working days for your consideration.
There is absolutely no charge for this consultation, and there are no obligations attached.
Many Cardiff homeowners get in touch with us and ask for a quote based on photos. However, there’s a reason we need to assess the property before committing to a price. The reality is, Cardiff bathrooms often have hidden issues that will impact the cost of a renovation or remodel. Without being able to assess the room, it’s hard for us to commit to a price.
For example, across many properties in the Cardiff area, poor ventilation is a big issue. Cardiff Bathrooms create a lot of moisture, and Cardiff Housing’s damp and mould guidance explains that everyday activities like bathing and showering can add moisture to the air. When that moist air hits colder surfaces, condensation forms. Over time, this can lead to black spot mould, peeling paint, damp patches and stained silicone.
Older pipework is another common issue. Some Cardiff homes have bathrooms that have been altered more than once over the years, with boxed-in pipes, awkward waste runs or old fittings hidden behind panels. During rip-out, we may find poor previous plumbing, slow drainage, signs of old leaks or pipework that needs correcting before the new bathroom goes in.
Floors are also worth checking properly. Around baths, showers and toilets, small leaks can damage floorboards or subfloors over time. A floor may look fine before the old bathroom is removed, but once the suite is removed, rotten boards, movement, or uneven areas can appear.
That is why Zeus Renovations thoroughly checks the room properly before quoting. We look at the layout, pipework, waste routes, walls, floor, ventilation, lighting and electrical points. Once this is done, we can give you a fair and honest quote price instead of trying to reel you in with a lower price and adding hidden costs halfway through the process.
Bathroom renovation costs depend on the room size, layout changes, product choices, tiling, plumbing, electrical work, hidden damage and finish level. As a rough guide, Checkatrade’s 2026 bathroom cost guide places most UK bathroom projects between £5,500 and £8,000, with basic refreshes from around £4,000 and higher-end renovations at £14,000+.
Cardiff prices can vary by property type, access, materials, and the extent of hidden repair work found once the old bathroom is removed, so Zeus confirms pricing after a free home consultation and an itemised quote.
As a rough guide:
Basic bathroom refresh: from around £3,000 to £5,000
Standard full bathroom renovation: around £5,500 to £9,000
Higher-end bathroom renovation, wet room or layout change: £9,000 to £14,000+
These are estimates, not fixed prices. Your quote is confirmed after a home consultation.
Zeus does not usually require a deposit for standard bathroom projects. Payment is normally due upon completion, with phased payments available for larger jobs as needed.
A standard full bathroom renovation often takes about 2 to 3 weeks on-site. Simpler bathroom fitting work may be quicker. Wet rooms, layout changes, extra tiling, underfloor heating, hidden damage or delayed materials can add time.
The biggest delays usually come from problems found at the rip-out stage. For example, damaged subfloors, old pipework, poor walls or ventilation issues can all add days to the schedule.
Zeus Renovations Cardiff brings 15 years of trade experience. We understand exactly what’s required to execute successful renovation and remodelling projects.
You do not need to coordinate separate plumbers, electricians, tilers and decorators yourself. We manage the job, coordinate trades and keep you updated several times a week. All tradesmen employed are vetted for quality before working on your renovation.
We can help with layout, storage, lighting, materials and finish choices. That is useful if your current bathroom feels cramped, dark or awkward. There’s no extra charge for this.
Bathroom work is disruptive, but it does not need to be careless. We protect access routes, manage waste and aim to keep the home as tidy as possible during the job. We treat your property like it’s our own.
We check the work before completion. Silicone, grout, trims, fixtures, finishes and final details all matter because these are the things you see and use every day. We also provide you with the opportunity to review our work and create your own snagging list for us to resolve before completion.
We’re always available to our customers and pride ourselves on our transparency, accountability and friendliness. We’re only ever a phone call away!
We visit your home, talk through what you want and check the bathroom properly. We will ask how the room is used, what frustrates you now and whether you want a like-for-like refit or a new layout. If you need any advice on design or planning, we are happy to offer it free of charge.
You receive a written, itemised quote, usually within 2 to 3 working days. The quote explains exactly what is included, so you can understand the labour, materials, waste removal and trade work involved. We can itemise the quote if requested so you can see exactly where every penny is spent.
Before work starts, we take the necessary steps to protect your flooring, stairs and access routes by using suitable coverings. We also plan for dust mitigation, waste removal, water shut-offs and trade access.
Once the old bathroom is removed, we check what is behind it. This is where some hidden issues often appear, such as rotten floorboards, poor pipework, damaged walls or old leaks. If extra work is needed, we explain it before proceeding. We won't undertake any work without your consent so you're never left out in the dark.
Now the project begins. We coordinate plumbing, electrical work, ventilation, tanking, tiling, flooring and fitting. Every tradesman we contract is vetted, qualified and can provide the necessary certificates and documentation for work undertaken. We handle all the coordination of different trades so you don't have to stress.
Once the renovation is complete, we carefully add the finishing touches and complete snagging before sign-off. You'll have the chance to review our work and create your own snag list, which we will address before signing off. Manufacturer warranties are passed on where available, and certificates are provided where required.
We recently completed a full bathroom renovation for a customer in Whitchurch, Cardiff, transforming a semi-detached home with a complete floor-to-ceiling rework.
The customer wanted the existing bathroom fully stripped out and rebuilt from scratch, including a new floor, new ceiling, updated services, fresh tiling, a new suite, and a more practical finished layout.
Once we removed the old bathroom, we found rotten joists beneath the floor. There was also no extractor fan in place, which had likely contributed to poor ventilation and long-term moisture issues. Before any finishing work began, we replaced the affected joists and floorboards to create a stable base for the new bathroom.
The project included:
Full bathroom rip-out
Disconnection and removal of old pipework and electrics
First-fix plumbing and electrical work
Replacement joists and new floorboards
Moisture-resistant boarding to the walls and ceiling
Plastering throughout
Floor and wall tiling
New bathroom suite installation
Custom shelving, cut and fitted to suit the space
Full decorating and finishing
Final sealing and completion checks
The result was a clean, modern bathroom with a far better layout, improved ventilation, and a high-quality finish throughout. The customer now has the bathroom they originally wanted, with the hidden structural issues properly dealt with before the final finish was installed.
